 Marc, Franz Biography(1880-1916)
 Was a German Expressionist painter, associated with Macke and Kandinsky in 
the Blaue Reiter. Franz Marc’s chief subjects were animals, and his variants on 
the theme of the Blue Horse are perhaps his best-known works. He met Delaunay in 
Paris in 1912 and his last works (1914) are more abstract. Franz Marc was killed 
in the battle of Verdun. Franz Marc’s famous oil paintings include:
