Alma-Tadema, Lawrence Biography

Victorian painter Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema was Dutch by birth but moved to London in 1870. Sir Lawrence's artworks are mainly based on classical themes with figures set in marbled places against deep blue skies leading to him to be called the 'marbellous painter.
